The singer also hinted Trump voters had been swayed by 'TikTok conspiracies'

Lily Allen is among the latest famous faces to have spoken out against President-elect Donald Trump following his victory this week.

The London-born singer, 39, launched a scathing rant on her podcast, Miss Me? alongside co-host Miquita Oliver, in which she labelled Trump a "sex pest".

Speaking on Wednesday, Allen, who resides in the US, said of Trump's victory speech: "It's not feeling particularly nice coming from somebody that's a convicted felon and also... a sex pest."

She continued by pointing out: "He's f***ing won, like he's won fair and square and he's won on this rhetoric.

"It's terrifying for a number of reasons, particularly as women

"There's a lot of rhetoric coming out of the GOP and Donald Trump that is scary for women.

"And I am a woman myself and also I'm a mother to two children - one's about to be 13 and the other's about to be 12. And I am concerned about them living under this rule."

Indicating Trump voters were swayed by "TikTok conspiracies," she continued: "I went out for dinner with a bunch of acquaintances all about my age, the subject of politics came up and we were talking about voting.

"And a few of them were not from New York, they were from out of New York so they were doing postal votes.

"And there were seven of us and it transpired that five of them were going to vote for Trump, and I was very interested to hear that but also not particularly...

"Listen, this is my own opinion and I have no proof of it but earlier on in the evening we'd been talking about how much time we spent on our phones and on social media, and the people that were voting for Trump, there was a correlation between how much time they spent on TikTok specifically."

The Smile hit maker added: "And they were talking about how their algorithm leaned towards conspiracy theories.

"And I just wonder out loud if there is a correlation between that and why you would want to vote for someone who's policies don't necessarily serve you and your interests - I thought that was interesting."

Speaking to GB News, Republicans Overseas UK spokesman Greg Swenson labelled the singer's comments as "tone deaf".

"This misogynist thing they try to pitch has been a complete failure," he argued.

"That's evident from the amount of woman that voted him over Kamala - that completely under-performed with women, particularly younger women. And Trump won young menalso, it was clear they didn't buy into it either."

Citing that many Americans are less focused on abortion laws and more concerned by other things, he continued: "They care about inflation, the border crisis, crime, safe spaces.

"Celebrity endorsement failed, as the big issues for Americans don't affect them. They don't' have to worry about inflating pricesand the border crisis - they're not affected by it.

"They live in nice homes in Los Angeles that are gated communities and they don't have to worry about the migrant hotels because they don't live near them - it's just really tone deaf."

He continued: "Lily Allen can keep trying but I wonder why - it failed already. They're still talking about it even after the election - such little self reflection from the left. It's the definition of insanity - trying the same thing and expecting different results."
